Anchoring Accessibility

Anchoring Accessibility (AA) is a research project that resulted in a protocol designed to support artists groups in embedding accessibility meaningfully into their creative processes. Rooted in relational practice and collective responsibility, AA offers a flexible structure for artist groups to reflect on and engage with accessibility early in their creative development process.

The AA team is sharing materials from our recent community presentation (Jan 2025), including the slide deck and the AA Protocol. These resources are open source and intended to be adapted across different organizational, cultural, and artistic contexts.

Also included in this Google folder are:

  • The presentation slide deck

  • A recording of the online session

  • A transcription of the recording

  • Anchoring Accessibility Protocol (PDF and Word files)

A note on the recording: It was recorded from the view of our screen-sharer, Blythe, which means that unfortunately some of the text is cut off and the ASP interpretation is not consistently visible. Apologies, and we recommend viewing the slide deck alongside the recording for full context.
